Touro Israel Option
As an internationally known institution under Jewish auspices, Touro
College has established the Israel Option, a program committed to
providing English-speaking students with the opportunity to earn
Touro College credits while in Israel.
As a participating institution in the Touro Israel Option, Machon
Maayan employs highly qualified faculty who have earned academic
credentials at leading institutions of higher education around the
world. Faculty members bring to the classroom both their training and
their rich professional experience. Small size classes ensure direct
contact with faculty and personal attention.
If you study in Machon Maayan and participate on the Touro Israel
Option you can earn up to 32 credits for one year. Transcripts for
Machon Maayan are issued only by the Office of the Registrar of Touro
College in New York.
Touro College is accredited by the Commission on higher Education of
the Middle States Association of College and Schools (3624 Market
St., Philadelphia, PA, Tel: 215-662-5600). The Commission on Higher
Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the
Secretary of Education and the Commission of Recognition of
Postsecondary Accreditation and is chartered by the Board of Regents
of the State of New York.
